QR Code Photo Galleries for Weddings: A Setup Guide for Photographers

QR Code Photo Galleries for Weddings: A Setup Guide for Photographers

A QR-code gallery handoff removes the single biggest bottleneck in event photography delivery: getting hundreds of guests from “we took your photo” to “you're holding your photo”, without a single DM.

1. Upload before the reception ends, if you can

Bulk GPU upload during the event — even mid-reception, off a laptop at the back of the hall — means the gallery can go live before the first guests start asking “when will photos be ready?”.

2. One QR code, printed everywhere it'll get noticed

  • Table cards, one per table, identical code — it always points at the same gallery.
  • A reception screen slide between courses.
  • A small card tucked into the return gift, for guests who leave early.

3. Brief the couple on what guests will see

Set expectations: guests scan, take a quick selfie, and the gallery returns only their frames. No sign-up, no app install, nothing stored beyond the session — that last part matters to a lot of families, and it's worth saying out loud.

4. Keep the gallery live longer than you think you need to

Out-of-town guests often don't open the QR code until days later, back home, once the trip is behind them. A gallery that expires in 48 hours loses exactly the guests who traveled the farthest.

The code is the same for every table. The only thing that changes is whose face the guest holds up to the camera.

This is the exact flow SnapUp Studio's QR handoff and Search by Selfie are built around — see the Features page for how the matching itself works.
